Designed by Sebastian Summa for DCW Éditions Paris, the ORG W 1500 is a striking lighting composition inspired by astronomy and science fiction. Five luminous tubes come together within a deliberately deconstructed 150 cm structure, evoking a celestial trajectory or shooting star. Whether mounted on a wall or ceiling, this large-scale member of the ORG collection creates a strong architectural presence. Since 2026, it has also been available in a new Nickel finish paired with an especially warm 2400K light.

A 150 cm line of light inspired by astronomy

Sebastian Summa plays with the balance between geometric precision and deliberate irregularity. The five Ø 25 mm tubes follow the same direction, while their metal elements terminate at different heights. This layered arrangement gives the ORG W 1500 its distinctive deconstructed appearance and graphic rhythm.

At 150 cm long, the light becomes an architectural feature in its own right. Installed vertically, its slender silhouette emphasises the height of a wall, while horizontal or ceiling mounting highlights its long linear form.

New 2026 Nickel finish with a warm 2400K light

Since 2026, the ORG W 1500 has also been offered in a new Nickel finish, bringing a different expression to the collection. The silver-toned metal tubes frame the illuminated sections and enhance the contrast between material, light and architecture.

This new Nickel version is paired with a colour temperature of 2400K, compared with 2700K for the original version. The particularly warm, subtly amber-toned light highlights the metallic reflections and reinforces the intimate atmosphere created by the ORG W 1500.

What kind of light does the ORG W 1500 provide?

The ORG W 1500 features an integrated LED light source. The original configuration delivers 17W with a light output of 1700 lumens and a colour temperature of 2700K. For the new 2026 Nickel finish, the colour temperature changes to 2400K.

TRIAC dimming allows the light intensity to be adjusted to suit different moments and atmospheres. The driver is supplied and the fixture operates on 220-240V. The ORG W 1500 can therefore provide more pronounced illumination or become a softer luminous line primarily dedicated to creating atmosphere.

Where can the ORG W 1500 be installed?

Its generous dimensions make the ORG W 1500 particularly suitable for tall walls, living rooms, entrances, hallways and staircases. Several lights can also be combined to create a larger rhythmic composition. When ceiling-mounted, its 150 cm length can emphasise the architecture of a space with a striking linear lighting effect.

Made from aluminium, glass and acrylic, the ORG W 1500 weighs approximately 4.7 kg. It is Class I, rated IP20 and designed exclusively for indoor use. The light comes with a 2-year warranty.
