SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Each product listing includes an estimated shipping time for your reference. These times can vary depending on the product and the selected supplier. For certain brands we collaborate with, especially lamps that are entirely designed in France and manufactured on demand, we strive to offer a tailored experience.

We maintain a direct relationship with our suppliers, allowing us to ensure a smooth process. Once the lamps are ready to leave their workshops, we ship them within 48 hours. You will receive an acknowledgment email as soon as the manufacturing is completed, marking the beginning of the shipping process to your delivery address.

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking link via email. This link will enable you to track the progress of your package in real-time until it reaches your doorstep. Our commitment to secure, fast, and transparent delivery reflects our dedication to your satisfaction.

We remain at your service for any questions regarding the shipping and delivery of your order. Your Lumitop experience is our priority, and we are here to ensure that your luminaire arrives in the best condition and within the promised timeframe.

Small Accessories Shipments: Dispatch via Tracked Letter Envelope

At Lumitop, we pay meticulous attention to every aspect of your purchasing experience, including the shipping of small accessories. For packaging and efficiency reasons, we reserve the right to dispatch small items like accessories in a tracked letter envelope.

Packaging Optimization

We understand that small accessories might require specific packaging to ensure their safety during transit. Hence, to ensure their pristine condition upon arrival, we use tracked letter envelopes. This approach enables us to uphold the quality and integrity of your valuable accessories.

SHIPPING TO SWITZERLAND:

When you choose Lumitop for the delivery of your luminaires to Switzerland, you benefit from our partnership with Colissimo, known for its quality and reliability. We are committed to providing you with a hassle-free shipping experience, ensuring that your purchases arrive in perfect condition.

We want to emphasize that while the delivery is free, it may be subject to customs fees. According to current customs regulations, recipients in Switzerland may be subject to import taxes and customs clearance fees. These costs are determined by Swiss customs authorities and remain the exclusive responsibility of the recipient.

Your satisfaction is our priority, which is why we transparently inform you about these potential fees. If you have any questions or concerns about customs fees or the delivery process, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to provide the assistance you need.

RECEIPT OF YOUR PACKAGE

When you receive your package, it's important to conduct a thorough inspection of its contents. If you're short on time to perform a detailed check, we recommend consistently noting "subject to unpacking" on the delivery receipt or the carrier's receipt.

You then have a maximum of 72 hours to notify us of any issues related to the delivery. This timeframe is crucial as it activates the carrier's insurance if necessary. If a problem arises after this period, it can become challenging to contest the delivery and achieve a favorable resolution.

At Lumitop, we are committed to ensuring that your order reaches you in the best condition. Collaborating with our customers is vital to ensuring the quality of our services. By promptly reporting any anomalies, you allow us to take the necessary steps to effectively resolve any unexpected delivery-related situations.

CUSTOMS DUTIES FOR DELIVERIES OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION (EU)

For deliveries to countries outside the European Union (EU), please note that any potential customs taxes and duties are the responsibility of the recipient. This means that the recipient is responsible for covering the associated fees during the customs clearance process.

The goods will be released and made available once the recipient has settled the required amounts with the customs authorities of the destination country. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the applicable customs regulations and tariffs in your country before placing your order to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

At Lumitop, we strive to provide the necessary information for our customers to make informed decisions about their purchases, including potential implications of customs duties for international deliveries.

In the European Union (EU), there is a customs union, which means that goods can move freely between member states without being subject to customs duties. However, if you import goods from countries outside the EU, customs duties may apply, although the rules and rates may vary depending on the type of goods and the country of origin.

That being said, some countries in Europe are not part of the EU and are also not part of its customs union. Imported goods into these countries or exported to them may be subject to customs duties. Some examples of these countries include:

- Norway: While it is part of the European Economic Area (EEA), Norway is not an EU member and therefore has its own customs duties.

- Switzerland: Switzerland is neither an EU nor an EEA member, but it has concluded a number of bilateral agreements with the EU that facilitate trade. Despite this, there are still situations where customs duties may apply.

- Iceland: Like Norway, Iceland is an EEA member but not an EU member. Therefore, there are customs duties for some goods originating from non-EEA countries.

- Western Balkans (such as Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc.): These countries are not part of the EU, and while they have specific agreements with the EU, customs duties may apply for certain goods.

- Andorra, San Marino, and other microstates: These small countries have special relationships with the EU, but customs duties may apply in certain situations.

The United Kingdom officially left the European Union on January 31, 2020, a process commonly referred to as "Brexit." At the end of the transition period on December 31, 2020, the UK also left the EU customs union and single market.

This means that trade between the UK and the EU is now subject to customs checks and potentially customs duties, depending on the nature of the goods and the terms of the agreement reached between the UK and the EU.
