The Jieldé lamp is a gem of French design, meticulously crafted by Jean-Louis Domecq in the 1950s. This guide offers key tips for recognizing these iconic light fixtures.

The little tricks to recognize it:

A DISTINCTIVE RIVETED PLAQUE

Each authentic Jieldé lamp sports a distinctive riveted plaque, on which the brand name is engraved. On the sixtieth anniversary of Jieldé in 2010, the current CEO, Philippe Bélier, numbered each lamp individually with its manufacturing date, making each fixture a unique piece.

A WIDE ARRAY OF COLOURS

Jieldé lamps are now available in a range of about thirty colours, offering a broad selection for customization. These vibrant hues are available in three possible finishes - Matte, Glossy, and Polished & Glossy, lending each lamp a distinct personality.

AN INNOVATIVE SYSTEM OF CIRCULAR CONTACTS IN THE LOFT COLLECTION

Jieldé lamps, particularly those from the LOFT collection, stand out for their revolutionary system of circular contacts. Traditional wires are replaced by crimped chrysocale contacts that conduct electricity through the lamp's joints.

Today, the Jieldé brand offers several collections, including the LOFT collection, a range of wire-free lamps true to its original concept, and the SIGNAL collection, launched in 2003, a range of smaller-sized lamps compared to the LOFT collection. These collections remain the most popular among design enthusiasts and lighting connoisseurs.
