Chaumont Collection – DCW éditions Paris

Originally designed in 1964 by Marc Held, the Chaumont pendant lamp embodies timeless functional elegance. Now reissued by DCW éditions, it is available in two sizes to perfectly suit any space—from a reading nook to a contemporary dining room.

A creation by Marc Held

A key figure in 1970s French design, Marc Held designed this minimalist lamp for his own Parisian apartment overlooking the Buttes-Chaumont park. With its clean lines, nickel finish, and focused light, Chaumont balances rigor and softness, history and modernity.

Two sizes for tailored installations

Chaumont comes in two versions to match a wide range of interior designs:

Chaumont 150 : a compact model, perfect solo or as a bedside light

Chaumont 190 :  a larger model, ideal above a table or in grouped arrangements

Precise lighting with optimal visual comfort

Compatible with PAR30 bulbs, Chaumont provides 100% downward-facing illumination. The adjustable bulb depth allows for custom light direction and minimizes glare—creating powerful yet soft lighting for any application.

A discreet and versatile design

With its brushed nickel finish and minimal lines, Chaumont fits seamlessly into both classic interiors and modern décors. Install it:

As a cluster in a living room

In a row over a countertop

As a wall-mounted bedside light

Or as a stylish desk lamp

A timeless French design icon

Marc Held continues to create inspiring architectural projects—like his recent earth-built school in Senegal. With Chaumont, he delivers a luminaire that is both historically rooted and deeply contemporary, made to endure with elegance.
