CORDUROY | FOSFENS

A lighting collection designed for architecture

The Corduroy collection by Fosfens embodies a refined and contemporary vision of architectural lighting. Designed to reveal materials, volumes and details, these luminaires combine precision optical technology with exceptional craftsmanship. Delivering 1770 lumens for only 19.5 watts at 2700 K, Corduroy offers elegant and efficient illumination, ideal for enhancing interiors as well as subtle architectural elements.

An adjustable beam inspired by camera lenses

At the heart of the Corduroy collection is a mechanical zoom inspired by camera lenses. This ingenious system allows smooth and intuitive adjustment of the light beam, from 25° to 75°, or from 12.5° to 75° with the optional X6 version. This high level of control makes it possible to adapt the light to every setting, whether highlighting an object, a texture or an architectural feature. Light becomes a true staging tool, guiding the eye and shaping the space.

Exceptional light quality

Corduroy luminaires deliver pure and stable light with no flicker, ensuring excellent visual comfort. With an outstanding color rendering performance (CRI 98 and R9 95, TM30 certified), they faithfully reveal the finest nuances of materials and surfaces. This lighting precision enhances textures and volumes with remarkable subtlety, creating illumination that is both accurate and elegant.

Tactile control and advanced technology

The luminaire is controlled through an analog button positioned directly on the projector head. Inspired by the classic controls of vintage amplifiers and guitars, this tactile interface allows precise and intuitive dimming. Corduroy luminaires can also be managed remotely via Bluetooth MESH, with an optional DALI version for integration into professional lighting systems and more complex architectural projects.

Exceptional craftsmanship and noble materials

Each luminaire in the Corduroy collection is machined with watchmaking precision using 5-axis CNC technology. The pieces are crafted from premium materials such as aluminum, copper, stainless steel, titanium and brass. Brushed, polished or satin finishes are worked by hand to achieve flawless quality. Aerospace-inspired surface treatments ensure remarkable strength and durability, while the aspherical glass lens guarantees perfectly controlled light distribution.
