The Milan 1 Arm floor lamp by Schwung strips the classic cantilevered silhouette back to its essential elements, creating a minimalist yet highly graphic lighting piece. Milan 1 Arm is defined by its long adjustable arm, allowing the position of the light source to be changed according to the space. The arm can move through an angle of approximately 130°, while the section supporting the glass globe offers up to 180° of rotation. This flexibility makes movement an integral part of the design and allows the lamp's silhouette to evolve depending on its position.

The design relies on a carefully considered balance between the large illuminated glass globe at one end of the arm and the metal counterweight at the other. This cantilevered construction gives Milan 1 Arm its characteristic sense of visual lightness. Depending on its position, the lamp can extend to approximately 113 cm, while its compact circular base measures 30.5 cm in diameter.

The 25 cm diameter globe is made from transparent borosilicate glass, deliberately revealing the light source within. Milan 1 Arm is fitted with a 1.6 W G4 LED providing 180 lumens at a warm 2700 K colour temperature. Thanks to its movable arm, Milan 1 Arm can vary in height from approximately 145.6 to 170 cm. The fixture can therefore adopt a more vertical or extended position depending on the layout of the room. Milan 1 Arm features a generous 3-metre power cable, making it easier to position away from a wall socket. The integrated on/off switch is located approximately 50 cm from the base. The lamp can also be dimmed using compatible electronic ELV trailing-edge dimmers, allowing the atmosphere to be adjusted as required.
