Dries 300 Schwung – Large designer pendant in transparent borosilicate glass
The Dries 300 pendant by Schwung is the largest version in the Dries family, featuring a generous Ø 30 cm transparent glass globe. Part of the Schwung Classic collection, it combines an exceptionally slender metal structure with a borosilicate glass sphere that appears to float effortlessly in space. The light source remains deliberately visible at the centre of the globe, making illumination an integral part of the design. Carefully crafted in Poland, Dries 300 embodies Schwung's distinctive balance of transparency, precision and visual lightness.
A generous Ø 30 cm globe inspired by a soap bubble
With its 30 cm diameter, Dries 300 has the strongest visual presence within the family. Despite its larger proportions, the transparent glass maintains a sense of lightness, allowing the pendant to make a statement without appearing visually heavy.
The transparent borosilicate glass reflects the signature “soap bubble” aesthetic of the Schwung Classic collection. Inspired by Central Europe's long tradition of Bohemian glassmaking, it reveals the light source while creating delicate reflections across the surface of the globe.
A minimalist and architectural silhouette
The design of Dries 300 is reduced to its essential elements. A long, slender metal line descends from the ceiling towards the centre of the transparent sphere, creating a clean architectural composition in which glass and light take centre stage.
The globe measures Ø 30 cm, while the discreet ceiling canopy measures Ø 14 cm and only 1.2 cm high. Its restrained dimensions reinforce the impression of a luminous sphere suspended almost freely within the room.
Adjustable height from 52 to 352 cm
Dries 300 offers considerable installation flexibility with an adjustable overall height ranging from 52 cm to 352 cm. It can therefore be adapted to standard interiors as well as spaces with particularly generous ceiling heights.
Its Ø 30 cm globe makes it an elegant choice above a dining table or kitchen island or as a focal point in a living room. The generous maximum drop also makes it especially suitable for entrance halls, open stairwells and larger architectural spaces.
Warm 2700 K illumination
Dries 300 uses a 4 W G9 LED light source providing 250 lumens at a warm colour temperature of 2700 K. Visible through the transparent glass, the illuminated source forms the heart of the composition and gently highlights the outline of the globe.
The pendant is dimmable with compatible electronic ELV trailing-edge dimmers, allowing the brightness to be adjusted according to the desired atmosphere.
IP20 protection exclusively for dry indoor spaces
Rated IP20, Dries 300 is intended exclusively for dry indoor environments. It can be installed in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, entrance halls, corridors and offices, as well as hotels, restaurants and reception spaces. It is not suitable for outdoor installation or humid bathroom areas.
Operating at 220-240 V and weighing 2.3 kg, Dries 300 can be used individually to showcase its generous transparent globe or combined with the Dries 150, 200 and 250. Mixing different diameters and suspension heights creates an airy constellation of glass spheres that perfectly reflects the Schwung Classic aesthetic.
