In 2022, the prestigious Japanese design studio Nendo, led by Oki Sato, and Louis Poulsen introduced the NJP Mini. This lamp was designed to be a compact and versatile version of the NJP series, initially launched in 2015. Compared to the NJP Table, a modernist version of the classic architect's lamp with two joints on the arm, the NJP Mini stands out with its reduced proportions. Its characteristic rear lampshade allows for continuous head adjustment, combined with the smooth rotation of the arm pivoting 342° around the base, offering the freedom to direct the light precisely where it's needed. Its relatively small size allows it to integrate perfectly into various environments, creating small islands of comforting light in spaces like the bedroom, living room, home office, cafes, hotel rooms, and more. The NJP Mini is the smallest lamp in the NJP series, which also includes a table lamp, floor lamp, and two wall sconces, all characterized by their modern and user-centered design.

Lighting Concept

The NJP Mini emits downward-directed, softly diffused, and glare-free light. When turned on, the light gradually appears at a fixed level and turns off in the same manner. The lamp also features a timer function to automatically turn off after four or eight hours. It offers a wide distribution of light for its relatively small size, and the white-painted interior of the lampshade comfortably reflects the light. Thanks to the continuous dimmer, the light can be adjusted between 15 and 100%. The arm has a stationary angle of 15° and can rotate 342° around the base, while the head can tilt and swivel to direct the light optimally.

Design and Aesthetics

The NJP Mini stands out with its sleek and modern design, available in a new palette of warm colors: Soft Brown, Soft Rose, Petroleum Blue, and Taupe, in addition to the classic colors Black, White, and Light Alu Grey.
