A luminous optical illusion – where art, geometry and design meet
Elos, imagined by Marcello Morandini and reissued by Martinelli Luce, is much more than a light fixture: it’s a sculptural statement—part artwork, part lighting solution. As a tribute to the transformation of form in space, Elos blends geometric precision with visual poetry, true to Morandini’s conceptual aesthetic.
A sphere born of reflection—set within a square of light
The concept is simple yet striking: a white half-sphere rests at the center of a square mirror. Through reflection, the eye perceives a complete sphere, suspended in space. This optical illusion transforms the fixture into a visual experience—playing with perception, contrast and spatial depth. The soft light diffused from the spherical core envelops the room with quiet elegance.
A graphic format that shapes space
Measuring 60 × 60 cm with a depth of 15 cm, Elos brings architectural structure to interiors. Whether mounted on the wall or ceiling, it becomes a luminous focal point—subtle yet striking. Built from steel and glass, it delivers a refined, minimalist aesthetic—seamlessly suited to modern, minimalist or architecturally driven spaces.
Energy-efficient lighting with a sculptural effect
Equipped with a 12 W integrated LED, Elos emits 1400 lumens of warm white light (3000 K) with excellent colour rendering (CRI > 80). Non-dimmable, it offers a stable, even glow—ideal for ambient lighting in living rooms, bedrooms or entranceways. With a lifespan of 50,000 hours, it meets high standards for efficiency and durability.
A design manifesto by Marcello Morandini
Choosing Elos means welcoming a conceptual, functional lighting piece into your space—true to Martinelli Luce’s ethos: innovate with subtlety, illuminate with purpose, and enhance interiors without overwhelming them. A rare and distinctive lighting signature—born of geometry, reflection, and perception.
