A moving light that makes colours dance across the walls
With Corona, Emiliana Martinelli offers more than just a lamp—it’s a captivating optical experience, an invitation to rediscover lighting as a living phenomenon. This wall or ceiling fixture, designed for Martinelli Luce, plays with light and reflection through a perfectly circular shape that recalls the purity of celestial bodies. Its iridescent centre changes colour depending on the viewing angle—blue, red, in-between tones—each glance becomes a new canvas.
A play of transparency and iridescence that draws the eye
At the heart of the design lies an iridescent methacrylate disc, surrounded by a luminous white ring that diffuses light softly. This unique finish reacts to movement in the room, creating a rare visual effect—a shifting gradient that gently animates the space. Whether placed in an entryway, hallway or reading nook, Corona instantly becomes a focal point—both subtle and spectacular.
Even, powerful and long-lasting illumination
Behind its airy appearance lies efficient, well-integrated LED technology. The electronic power supply is built into the body of the lamp, making installation simple and ensuring smooth operation. Depending on the chosen size—28 or 42 cm in diameter—the fixture delivers between 1500 and 3200 lumens, with a constant warm glow at 3000K. With a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours and a CRI above 80, it ensures both performance and accurate colour rendering.
Two sizes for controlled visual impact
At just 10 cm thick, Corona maintains a slim profile that fits effortlessly into any interior, from minimalist to more structured spaces. The smaller model blends into tight areas or can be grouped to create rhythm along a wall. The larger version makes a bold statement, enhancing room volumes with generous light and strong decorative presence.
An homage to light in motion, true to Martinelli Luce’s spirit
Corona perfectly embodies Emiliana Martinelli’s philosophy: to create lighting that goes beyond utility and becomes something alive, almost magical. It showcases the best of Italian design—where innovation, refinement and emotion converge in a simple, masterfully executed gesture. A luminous object that draws the eye, enriches the space, and constantly reinvents itself as the day progresses.
