Initially developed for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, this lamp stands out with its elegant architecture that harmonizes with the natural landscape of western Jutland. The project, born from the collaboration between Louis Poulsen and BIG Ideas, has evolved to create the Keglen family, suitable for various interior types while maintaining a unique visual identity.
Design and Aesthetics of the Keglen Wall Lamp
The Keglen wall lamp is distinguished by its conical aluminum lampshade, available in matte black or frosted white, matched with a cable of the same color. The lampshade features a soft organic glass insert, similar to a drop of water. This innovative design allows for the diffusion of soft, non-glare light through an integrated curved diffuser. The ability to pivot the lamp head 45 degrees to each side allows precise light direction, offering maximum flexibility.
Functionality and Technical Advantages of the Keglen Wall Lamp
This wall lamp uses an integrated LED light source, available in two options: dimmable with 2700-2000K LED or non-dimmable with 3000K LED. The switch and dimmer are located on the wall box, allowing for continuous light dimming. The lamp is equipped with a built-in memory function, ensuring the light returns to the last adjusted power after a power outage. The 2.4-meter cord offers installation flexibility, and the luminaire can be mounted with a cord and plug or hardwired.
