The Armstrong 6 R by Schwung turns the wall into a striking lighting composition. Its graphic structure combines slender metal lines with six glass globes positioned at different heights, creating a sense of movement and balance. This Right version extends the composition to the right and can be paired with the mirrored Armstrong 6 L Left version for an especially distinctive arrangement. Part of Schwung's GLOBES concept, it reinterprets lighting references from the 19th and 20th centuries through a contemporary dialogue between glass and metal.
What is the difference between Armstrong 6 R and Armstrong 6 L?
The Armstrong 6 is available in two complementary orientations. Armstrong 6 R is the Right configuration, while Armstrong 6 L presents the composition in the opposite Left orientation. This allows the direction of the light fitting to be selected according to the architecture of the wall or enables both versions to be used together.
Installed as a pair on either side of a bed, fireplace, mirror or architectural feature, the Left and Right versions create a balanced arrangement while retaining the asymmetric movement that defines the Armstrong design.
Six glass globes punctuate the linear structure
The Armstrong 6 R features six Ø 150 mm globes positioned along its slender metal framework. Three signature glass expressions are available: three-layer opal glass with an acid-etched exterior, matte marbled soda-lime glass, or transparent borosilicate Dries Ribbon glass, with the latter available at a 30% surcharge.
With a maximum height of 1393 mm, a width of 331 mm and a length of 352 mm, the Armstrong 6 R creates a tall, architectural presence while maintaining the visual lightness characteristic of Schwung's GLOBES concept.
What kind of light does the Armstrong 6 R provide?
The Armstrong 6 R uses six 5W E14 LED light sources and provides a stated total output of 1320 lumens at a colour temperature of 3000K. The six illuminated globes distribute light along the entire vertical composition, producing a soft and decorative presence on the wall.
Light intensity can be adjusted with compatible electronic ELV trailing-edge dimmers. The luminaire operates at 220-240V, is rated IP20 and is designed for indoor use.
