At the heart of the Glass Globe Opal 200 is a Ø 200 mm sphere made from triplex soda-lime opal glass. Its opal appearance gently conceals the light source and distributes the light across the entire globe, creating a soft and balanced luminous presence.
The purity of the spherical shade contrasts with the slender metal structure, giving the pendant a timeless quality. It can be installed on its own or combined with several Glass Globe pendants to create a more elaborate composition.
How can the height of the Glass Globe Opal 200 be adjusted?
Rather than using a visible suspension cable, the Glass Globe Opal 200 is suspended from a rigid metal stem, reinforcing its clean architectural appearance. Three extension rods measuring 150, 300 and 450 mm are included, allowing the drop to be adapted to the room and ceiling height.
Depending on the selected configuration, the overall height ranges from approximately 445 to 1344 mm. The ceiling canopy measures Ø 140 mm and 12 mm high, maintaining the pendant's minimalist proportions.
Which light source should be used with the Glass Globe Opal 200?
The pendant is designed for an E27 LED light source. Schwung specifies an 8W LED configuration producing approximately 600 lumens at a colour temperature of 3000K, creating a warm white light inside the opal sphere.
