Designed by the Paris-based duo Normal Studio and part of the Paname collection, Monceau reinterprets Sammode’s legendary tubular luminaire by giving it a refined, textured, and contemporary identity.

All models are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, except the Monceau 133 floor lamp, which is indoor only.

1. Why “Monceau”? A tribute to Parisian refinement

The name “Monceau” references the elegant Parisian district known for its Haussmann buildings and their timeless herringbone parquet floors.

Normal Studio translated this iconic visual identity into a modern lighting object, designing a coal-black perforated metal chevron grid.

The result is a luminaire that captures the essence of French heritage while embracing contemporary aesthetics — warm, graphic, and subtly sophisticated.

The Monceau collection is created by Normal Studio, the Parisian duo composed of Jean-François Dingjian and Éloi Chafaï, artistic directors of Sammode since 2014.

preserve the industrial DNA of the Sammode tube,
give it a new materiality,

The Monceau – H129 cm, Ø10 cm is the signature model of the collection.

It can only be installed horizontally.
