Founded in 2017, Schwung is a creative studio that combines the curiosity of a collector with the skill of a master craftsman. The brand designs and manufactures premium lighting that brings warmth, character and emotion into every interior. Each luminaire is conceived as a timeless object, created to be admired, preserved and passed on through generations, transforming light into a lasting design statement.
Every Schwung lighting fixture is meticulously handcrafted in Europe by skilled artisans working with solid brass and mouth-blown glass. Carefully selected noble materials and exceptional craftsmanship ensure remarkable quality, durability and refined finishes. More than decorative lighting, every piece becomes an enduring object of beauty designed to enrich interiors for decades.
For Schwung, light is treated as an artistic material. Elegant brass finishes are paired with opal, marbled or signature Ribbon Glass to create captivating reflections and subtle plays of light. Architectural lines, harmonious proportions and carefully balanced compositions give every luminaire a sculptural presence, whether illuminated or not.
Each Schwung collection tells its own story. Babylon reinterprets the angular language of ancient Mesopotamian cuneiform writing, while Molecule explores the invisible geometry of atomic structures through elegant brass frameworks. Odyssey invites us on an imaginative journey between memory and the future, and Vesta pays tribute to the Roman goddess of the hearth with architectural forms inspired by classical columns.
The iconic Globes collection represents the essence of Schwung through an endlessly configurable lighting concept combining refined brass finishes with three signature glass types. Hana celebrates simplicity through its elegant frosted glass cloche, while Schwung Classic revisits the earliest electric lighting using mouth-blown borosilicate glass inspired by the centuries-old Bohemian glassmaking tradition.
Schwung creates more than lighting fixtures—it creates collectible design objects. Every collection forms part of an evolving family of illuminated pieces imagined to accompany everyday life for many years. Built with exceptional materials and timeless aesthetics, each luminaire is designed to become a lasting part of its owner's personal story.
Highly appreciated by architects, interior designers and design enthusiasts worldwide, Schwung perfectly balances traditional craftsmanship, contemporary innovation and timeless elegance. Its collections naturally complement luxury residences, boutique hotels, fine restaurants and prestigious architectural projects where exceptional lighting becomes an integral part of the interior experience.
