Twice a year, Market Set unveils new collections created within its own studio. Under the guidance of an ambitious artistic direction, the brand’s designers explore minimalist and decorative trends, reinterpreting them through a French modern lens.

Their creations strike a perfect balance between aesthetics, function, and material research. From aerial metal structures to tactile textiles and paper shades, each lamp becomes an object of style, personality, and sensory appeal.

Sonia Laudet, a designer committed to textile and sustainability

A collaboration grounded in shared values

In 2019, Market Set launched its first external collaboration with Sonia Laudet, a textile artist and upholsterer based in Bayonne. Her work, rooted in reuse and slowness, aligned perfectly with the brand’s values.

Together, they imagined the MKS × SL collection, a range of wall and pendant lights made from the factory’s own fabric offcuts. The result is delicate, graphic, and full of meaning — a poetic approach to light that fits seamlessly into the Slow Life movement. In 2023, the collection evolved with Neo Nostalgia, using new colors and materials based on current textile availability, giving the collaboration a truly circular character.

Innovation meets material: the Varian® project

A partnership with Cultur iN® and the future of French linen

Market Set continues its material explorations with Cultur iN®, a French company that developed Varian®, an eco-innovative fabric made from flax and biodegradable PLA.

From this partnership, the Rivage collection was born — clean, structural, and graceful. The studio’s designers sculpt the Varian® material into fluid forms that speak of air, nature, and sustainability, reinforcing the brand’s eco-conscious vision.
