Charlotte Høncke has always been driven by a deep passion for design, knowing from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in this creative field, possibly even in architecture. In 2002, she realized this ambition by earning her degree in industrial design from the Aarhus School of Architecture. A few years later, she chose to become a full-time independent designer, marking the beginning of a promising career.
Inspiration from Around the World
Charlotte draws her inspiration from all facets of life, whether it's in nature, architecture, or her travels around the world. Innovative ideas often lead to equally innovative design and creative methods, sometimes prompting her to explore new creative paths. "I love to explore new materials, shapes, and techniques, and I never opt for the easiest solution. Sometimes, it's a challenge, both for me as a designer and for the manufacturer. But exploring new approaches is what makes the work varied and exciting."

The creation of lighting is something that particularly fascinates Charlotte Høncke due to its versatility and the need to strike a subtle balance between functionality and aesthetics. "For me, a luminaire should not only be functional, it should also be beautiful when the light is off. Luminaires are among the objects that contribute most to creating an atmosphere in an interior. Personally, I like to have different types of lamps in my home to create precisely the light and ambiance I desire."
