Lights Born in 1983 in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, Yuji Okitsu grew up in Senri New Town, Osaka—an environment that inevitably shaped his design sensibilities. The juxtaposition between Tokyo's urban modernity and Osaka's tranquil charm created a fascinating backdrop for his formative years.

Education and Career
After earning his master's degree in architecture from Denki University in Tokyo in 2009, Yuji chose the path of independence, launching his career as an independent architect in 2011. This decision granted him the freedom to explore and follow his passions without being constrained by the traditional constraints of an architectural firm.
A Unique Philosophy
Yuji's work transcends disciplines. It doesn't limit itself to mere form or structure. Each creation is an exploration of hidden emotions and the subtleties of daily life. As he so poetically describes it, his goal is to "focus on events that touch the hidden strings in daily life." This philosophy eloquently manifests in his designs, where each piece tells a story, and each form evokes an emotion.
The "Focus" Lamp
Inspired by the effervescence and lightness of soap bubbles, the "Focus" lamp is a true work of art. Luminescent discs, arranged in a mobile-like fashion, emit soft and warm light, reminiscent of the serenity and fleeting beauty of a bubble floating in the air. It's a perfect example of how Yuji integrates his delicate observations of daily life into his designs.
Yuji Okitsu is more than a designer or an architect. He is a storyteller, a sensitive observer of life who translates his observations into beautiful objects. By combining his academic background with his unique philosophy, he continues to inspire and awe those fortunate enough to encounter his work.
