The PH 3½-2½ table lamp with a glass diffuser from Louis Poulsen, envisioned by the renowned designer Poul Henningsen, epitomizes sophisticated interior lighting design with IP20 protection. This piece is available in three appealing finishes: metallic black with a black cable, metallic brass with a white cable, and chrome with a black cable, elegantly fitting into various interior decorations.
Creation by Poul Henningsen
Introduced in 1928, the PH 3½-2½ lamp is a result of a fruitful collaboration between Poul Henningsen and Louis Poulsen. Stemming from the innovative shade assembly concept launched in 1926, this lighting demonstrates Henningsen's ongoing commitment to enhancing electric lighting. Based on a logarithmic spiral, the lamp is designed for optimal light efficiency through rigorous calculations and thorough testing, eliminating glare while shaping and reflecting light optimally.
Harmonious and Glare-Free Lighting
The shades, made from white opal glass and comprising three blown layers, are polished on the outside and sandblasted on the inside. This setup ensures a soft and even light distribution, visually softening the lamp while bathing the space in perfect, harmonious, and glare-free light characteristic of Henningsen's classic shade system.
Innovation in Lighting Concept
The lamp is based on a series of reflective shades that direct most of the light downwards, providing soft, evenly distributed light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in any interior space.
Product Features
The lamp is equipped with a light source for a 60W E14 bulb. It features high-quality materials, with shades made of blown opalized white glass and a body and base in polished chromed brass. The 2.5-meter cable, equipped with a convenient switch on the cord, comes in black plastic and easily connects to any standard outlet.
Dimensions and Installation
With a reflector 33 cm in diameter and a total height of 46.5 cm, this table lamp combines aesthetics and functionality. Its 2.5-meter cable offers installation flexibility, while its weight of 2.5 kg ensures stability on any surface.
