Created in 1965 by designer Gae Aulenti, its translucent lampshade in white and wavy opal methacrylate recalls the wings of the pipistrelle, European bat from which it bears its name (bat in Italian).
The Pipistrello by Martinelli Luce is a modular lamp that adapts to its environment, so it can be placed on the table as well as on the floor, with to its telescopic system which allows its height to be adjusted and modify its silhouette.
